What should I know before I start?

The answers below are grouped by topic: getting started, plans and payment, lyrics and chords, on stage, playing as a band, audience requests, and what StageFloww does not do. Each answer stands on its own. These are the limits people ask about most.

  • Plans. Free covers 1 active setlist of up to 40 songs. Pro is ₹499 a month or ₹3,999 a year, after a 7-day trial with no card. The pricing page has the full table.
  • Lyrics in English letters. This is transliteration of sound, not meaning.
  • Chords. Chord accuracy varies. Check each chart before the gig.
  • Poor signal. Before the gig, open each song in the setlist once on the device you will use, while you are online. Band sync needs an internet connection on each device.
  • Pedals. A Bluetooth pedal moves to the next or previous song. It is not a page turner: it does not scroll the lyrics. Auto-scroll does that.
  • Requests. Guests enter a name and a phone number. They need no app and no account.
  • Money from the audience. The fee on the Free plan is 15%. Tips and paid requests pay out in India only. Outside India you can still take free song requests.

Where can I ask something that is not here?

Email support@stagefloww.com. If your band shares a file in a group chat today, setlist app or a PDF in the WhatsApp group sets out when that is still enough.

Getting started

Is there an iPhone or Android app for StageFloww?

There is no store app. StageFloww runs in the browser on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and laptops, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. There is nothing to install from the App Store or Google Play.

Which devices does StageFloww work on?

Android phones, iPhones, tablets and laptops, in the browser. Members of the same band can be on different kinds of device. You sign in on each device with the same account. You can add StageFloww to the home screen, and there is nothing to install.

Does StageFloww work without internet?

Partly. Lyrics you have already opened on a device are kept in that browser's storage, so Live Mode keeps showing them if the venue Wi-Fi drops. There is no download button and storage is limited. Before the gig, open each song in the setlist once on the device you will use, while you are online. Song search, lyric and chord fetch, band sync, band signals and audience requests all need a connection.

How do I sign in?

Open stagefloww.com and sign in with Google, or with an email address and a password. There is no phone-number login and no Apple sign-in. Band members who join a leader's setlist also need an account, which is free. Audience members who request a song do not sign in at all.

Is StageFloww the same as StageFlow?

No. StageFloww is spelled with two w's and is not related to other products named StageFlow. StageFloww is the setlist and stage-lyrics app for singers, bands and other live performers, and its address is stagefloww.com.

Plans and payment

What does the Free plan include?

The Free plan gives you 1 active setlist with up to 40 songs, and includes Live Mode, band sync, song search and English-letter lyrics. Extra setlists you own open view-only, and Live Mode still works on them. Setlists a band leader shares with you never count toward the limit.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro costs ₹499 a month, or ₹3,999 a year, which is ₹333 a month billed yearly. You pay through Razorpay by UPI, card or netbanking. Pro removes the Free plan's limits on setlists and songs. Each new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial that needs no card.

How does the Pro trial work?

The 7-day Pro trial starts the first time you sign in. You do not enter a card. When it ends, the account moves to the Free plan and nothing is deleted; setlists beyond the Free limit open view-only until you upgrade. If you buy Pro during the trial, the unused trial time is added to your paid period.

Can I pay for Pro from outside India?

Yes, by card. Outside India, Pro is charged by card in your region's currency: US$79.99 a year in the United States, £64.99 in the UK, €79.99 in euro countries and A$119.99 in Australia. Other countries pay in US dollars, between US$14.99 and US$79.99 a year depending on the country. In India, Pro is ₹499 a month or ₹3,999 a year, and you can also pay by UPI or netbanking. StageFloww is not the cheapest option outside India.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

You can cancel any time from Billing. A refund is given only within 48 hours of your first paid charge, and only if no Pro feature was used in that time. There are no refunds for part of a billing period. Payments from audience members to performers are not refundable. The full terms are on the refund page.

Do band members have to pay?

No. The band leader pays for Pro, or stays on the Free plan, and members join the leader's setlist free. Members get Live Mode and band sync, and a shared setlist does not count toward a member's own Free limit. Each member needs a free account to join.

Lyrics and chords

Is English-letter lyrics the same as translation?

No. English-letter lyrics are transliteration: the same words, respelled in Latin letters so you can pronounce them without reading the original script. It does not translate the meaning, so a Hindi line stays Hindi, written in English letters.

Which scripts can be shown in English letters?

14 scripts are converted by fixed rules, instantly and without AI: Devanagari (Hindi, Marathi), Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sinhala, Hangul (Korean), Japanese kana, Cyrillic (Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian) and Greek. Arabic script including Urdu, Chinese, Thai, Hebrew and Japanese lines with kanji go through AI in the app and can fail. This is transliteration of sound, not meaning.

Do I have to type in the lyrics myself?

No, but pasting your own is the reliable way: copy lyrics you already have into the song and they are ready for Live Mode. StageFloww can also fetch lyrics where they are available. Not every song has lyrics available, so open each one before the gig and paste in whatever is missing.

Does StageFloww show chords?

Yes. Chords are fetched where available and merged with the lyrics by AI, or you paste your own ChordPro text. You can transpose, set a capo and edit the chart. Chord accuracy varies. Check each chart before the gig. StageFloww shows chords as text above the lyrics; it does not display sheet music or PDF charts.

Can I find a song if I only remember part of the lyric?

Often, yes. Type the part of the lyric you remember, a film name or a rough spelling, and the AI search tries to resolve it to a real song you can add to your setlist. It needs a connection and it can miss, so confirm the result is the version you mean.

On stage

Do the lyrics scroll on their own?

Yes. Live Mode has auto-scroll, which moves the lyrics up the screen without you touching the device. You can tap or pinch to change the text size, and a next-song button takes you on when the song ends. The screen stays awake where the browser supports it.

Can I use a Bluetooth foot pedal?

Yes, for changing songs. A Bluetooth pedal or keyboard that sends PageDown, PageUp, arrow keys, Space or Enter moves to the next or previous song in Live Mode. A Bluetooth pedal moves to the next or previous song. It is not a page turner: it does not scroll the lyrics. Auto-scroll does that. No pedal brand is tested or certified; what matters is which keys the pedal sends.

Does the builder show how long my set is?

Yes. The setlist builder shows the set's total minutes as you add and reorder songs. A song with no duration entered is counted as 3:30, so enter real lengths for songs that run much longer or shorter. To plan a night before you have a song list, use the set length calculator.

Playing as a band

What does band sync do?

When the band leader moves to the next song, each signed-in member's screen moves to that song too. It does not sync audio, and it does not match how far each person has scrolled. If the leader starts or pauses auto-scroll, followers' auto-scroll starts or pauses as well. Each device needs an internet connection.

Does band sync need internet?

Yes. Band sync needs an internet connection on the leader's device and on each member's, over venue Wi-Fi or mobile data. A member whose phone has no signal will not see the leader's song changes, so agree a fallback, such as calling the next song aloud, for rooms with poor coverage.

How do I share a setlist with my band?

There are three routes. Send an invite link with View or Edit access; send a WhatsApp message with the setlist name, the date, the first few songs with their keys and a link to the full set; or show a QR code for people to scan. Someone who receives an invite can also copy the setlist into their own account for their own gig.

Audience requests

Does the audience need an app to request a song?

No. Guests scan your QR code or open a link, and the request page opens in their phone's browser. Guests enter a name and a phone number. They need no app and no account. Free song requests work in every country. You accept or decline each request, or add the song to the set.

What does a guest enter to request a song?

A name, a phone number and the song. Guests enter a name and a phone number. They need no app and no account. Requests are not anonymous: you see the name the guest typed, so you can say who asked from the stage. The guest then sees on their phone whether you accepted or declined.

Can audiences tip or pay for requests outside India?

Not today. Tips and paid requests pay out in India only. Outside India you can still take free song requests. Money is collected in Indian rupees and paid out to an Indian UPI ID or bank account, and there is no payout route in other countries. Outside India, tips and paid requests are switched off by default when you go live.

What does StageFloww charge on tips?

On the Free plan StageFloww keeps 15% of each tip or paid request. On Pro, and during the Pro trial, the fee is 0%. Tips and paid requests pay out in India only. Outside India you can still take free song requests. The default minimum for a paid request is ₹50 and you can change it.

Can a DJ use StageFloww?

For free song requests, yes: guests scan a QR code and you accept or decline each request. There is no DJ mode and no link to DJ software or a streaming library, so requests do not reach your decks. Guests enter a name and a phone number. They need no app and no account. Tips and paid requests pay out in India only. Outside India you can still take free song requests.

What it does not do

Can I import setlists from OnSong, a PDF or a spreadsheet?

No. StageFloww does not import or export setlist files, so there is no route in from OnSong, a PDF, a CSV or ChordPro files, and it does not import Spotify playlists. You can type several song names at once, one per line when you build your first setlist or separated by commas in the builder search, and StageFloww looks them up. You can also paste lyrics and ChordPro text into a song.

Does StageFloww show sheet music, MIDI or backing tracks?

No. StageFloww has no sheet-music PDF viewer, no MIDI, no backing-track player and no way to draw on a chart. Live Mode shows lyrics and chords as text. If your set depends on notation, MIDI program changes or tracks, a sheet-music reader or a stage-automation app is the right tool.
